The Operations Manager is an exciting new role in our Gorey factory. It’s a full-time position with the successful candidate to start as soon as available.

The Operations Manager will manage the entire operation process from order intake to final dispatch. The role will be a key member of the team, reporting to the Managing Director. The role is quite broad and will require the successful candidate to have Production Management or Operations Management experience.



  • Managing site operations to ensure customer and business needs are met through strong leadership of people and processes. Processes include the chain from receipt of order to dispatch
  • Manage and measure performance levels in keeping with KPI’s
  • Develop, implement and manage production scheduling
  • Co- ordinate and communicate with the team regarding scheduling and processes
  • Developing the existing processes/ IT systems to add further control and value and to develop enhanced work practices
  • Manage and develop excellent quality control processes
  • Maximise efficiency of all inputs and minimise lead times
  • Leading teams in the key operational functions including production, paint- shop, assembly, customer service and finance
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety protocols are followed at all times

Supply Related

  • Managing the supply chain and dealing with suppliers on issues that arise
  • Negotiating prices and value adding deals to assist profitability and add value to the companies offering
  • Develop and implement systems for each stock line to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
  • Developing internal management systems (IMS) to achieve maximum efficiency with ongoing training and development

Customer Related

  • Supporting and facilitating Customer Services and Sales
  • Manage and communicate with customers re delivery schedules
  • Maintain customer first focus within all production staff
  • Managing customer logistics from the factory to the customer’s locations nationwide to achieve scheduled delivery dates and maximise transport efficiencies


  • Hiring staff and developing training and operation plans
  • Manage, train, supervise and develop other staff members
  • Assist and support colleagues with adhoc tasks





  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced production management or operations management role
  • To have completed post leaving certificate studies
  • Strong IT skills
  • Understands and has worked with KPIs
  • Experience managing people
  • Industry experience not essential
